Parfum?🧐

“Parfum“ is the concentration of the product not to be confused with the word “Perfume” that was made popular by American marketing strategists to target women in the 1950’s . The 5 main levels of fragrance, from weakest to strongest by perfume oil concentration, are Eau Fraîche (1-3%), Eau de Cologne (2-4%), Eau de Toilette (5-15%), Eau de Parfum (15-20%), and Parfum/Extrait (20-30%), with higher concentrations offering longer-lasting and more intense scents.

Here's a breakdown of each level:

  1. Eau Fraîche (Water Fresh)

    • Concentration: 1-3% fragrance oil.

    • Characteristics: Very light, refreshing, and short-lived, perfect for hot weather.

    2. Eau de Cologne (EDC)

    • Concentration: 2-4% fragrance oil.

    • Characteristics: Subtle, invigorating, and crisp, designed for casual daytime wear.

    3. Eau de Toilette (EDT)

    • Concentration: 5-15% fragrance oil.

    • Characteristics: A balanced, noticeable scent with moderate projection, suitable for professional or daily use. This is the most popular variation produced by Perfumers for it’s balance and notoriety.

    4. Eau de Parfum (EDP)

    • Concentration: 15-20% fragrance oil.

    • Characteristics: Rich, long-lasting, and a popular choice for evening wear or special occasions.

    5. Parfum (Extrait de Parfum)

    • Concentration: 20-30% fragrance oil.

    • Characteristics: The most concentrated and luxurious, offering intense, complex, and long-lasting performance.  This is the best and often the most expensive variation.

As you can see, the Infinity Fragrance variation goes above and beyond the industry standard but, honestly, what did you expect🤣
